District 308 Communications Director Wins Awards

Kristine Liptrot, director of communications for District 308, was recently awarded three national awards by the National School Public Relations Association.

Liptrot was given awards of merit for the district's Web site, www.oswego308.org, and The Loop, the district's employee newsletter.

Liptrot also received an honorable mention award for the board of education's meeting brochure.

The district's Web site was ranked in the top 13 in the nation, while The Loop was within 114 national publications to receive an award of merit. The board brochure was one of 100 to receive an honorable mention.

Independent judges evaluate the overall excellence of each publication, as well as its quality compared to other entries received in the same categories from nation-wide public and private schools.

During her four years in District 308, Liptrot has been recognized with eight national awards and 15 state awards.

Liptrot has also been selected by the organization to serve a three-year appointment as the North Central Region representative to the  National School Public Relations Association’s Executive Board Search Committee.

The Committee seeks out and recruits qualified NSPRA members to run for open board offices each year.
