Jessa Garcia signs on to play softball for Coach Clark at WCC

Jessa Garcia from Oswego, Illinois signed her College National Letter of Intent at Waubonsee Community College for the 2013/2014 school year on January 19th, 2013.

Jessa received a scholarship to play softball at WCC. She will be entering the 2013/2014 season as a Freshman. Jessa also chose to graduate from Oswego High School early, on January 11th, 2013.

She completed her required credits and will be entering WCC as a part time student, majoring in Biology and will be participating with the college softball team as a Red-Shirt Freshman.

Jessa chose to play for Coach "PC", Perry Clark, Head Coach of the WCC girls softball program. Jessa was fortunate and had the opportunity to play for Coach Clark this past summer of 2012, (NI Thunder softball travel club). She worked very hard, and was given the opportunity to perform at her game. She hit 17 homeruns and batted .400 for the summer.

Jessa had a good high school career making All Conference and All Area Team mention in her sophomore year under Coach Lindsay Hejtmanek. She will be working with coach Hejtmanek while at WCC. Coach Lindsay was also a great inspiration for Jessa during her high school years while playing softball at OHS.

We would also like to thank another great coach who has also been a great inspiration and has contributed in helping Jessa achieve her goals in softball, and that is Coach Marcy Kritikos from Genuine Sports Training in Romeoville. Marcy has been working with Jessa for the past 4 years and has done a great job. We have been lucky and blessed to have our Daughter work with such very good coaches, not only in a training aspect, but also for being such great people. David and Gina thank Coach "PC", Coach Lindsay, and Coach Marcy for being not only great coaches but also great friends.

We are very proud of our Daughter, Jessa and will be by her side throughout her college years and beyond. Congratulations Bubbs!
