Kendall County Coroner Ken Toftoy Gives Campaign Update

The Committee to Reelect Ken Toftoy provided the following news release:

After completion of recent parades and festivals in Oswego, Yorkville, and Newark, Kendall County Coroner Ken Toftoy said today he is excited about the response to his bid for re-election. "I am pleased with the feedback from folks I've been talking with around the county.

"They value the experience and service we provide at the Coroner's office. I am thankful for their support, and still love doing this job as much as the first year I had the privilege of serving the people of Kendall County at their time of greatest need," Toftoy said.

"There is not a Republican, Democrat or Independent way to run the Coroner's office," Toftoy said, " there is only a professional and compassionate way and that is what I will continue to do if given the honor of serving another term."

Toftoy is announcing that this will be his final run for election. "I will retire at the end of this term, if re-elected. It will be time to give someone another chance to serve. I just want to finish some of the initiatives I've started and finish strong," Toftoy concluded.

Toftoy is one of the most respected Coroners in Illinois, having previously served as President of the Illinois Coroner's Association. First elected in 1992 at the age of 34, Toftoy has been re-elected in every primary and general election since, by wide margins, often unopposed.
