Alden of Waterford Rehabilitation and Health Care Center recently achieved a 5-Star Rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

"When I received the official 5-star letter from CMS, I got all of my department heads together and we celebrated,” says Nora O’Gorman, administrator, Alden of Waterford. “Very few facilities receive the 5-star overall rating so this a great honor.”

CMS evaluated the rehab center’s health inspection reports from the past three years, quality of care residents receive and number of direct care hours provided per resident per day. Its Nursing Home Compare is a national, online nursing home report card that provides information on every Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing home in each state. Each facility is rates on a scale of one to five stars, with five being the highest.
