Toftoy Announces Federal and State Endorsements
The Committee to Reelect Ken Toftoy provided the following news release:
Today Kendall County Coroner Ken Toftoy announced the support and endorsements of 7 Federal and State leaders.
Congressman Randy Hultgren and Congressman Joe Walsh, both elected in 2010 over incumbent Democrats, are on board enthusiastically.
Illinois House Minority Leader Tom Cross of Oswego and his colleagues Kay Hatcher of Yorkville, and Pam Roth, who represents southern Kendall County in the legislature, stand with Toftoy confidently.
On the Senate side Kendall County's two representatives, Chris Lauzen and Sue Rezin, back the re-election of Coroner Toftoy as well, in recognition of the good work he does for their shared constituents.
Toftoy has earned the respect and support of leaders throughout the region and state for his professional and effective leadership over the last 20 years, taking the office out of a funeral home and developing a safe, clean, and well regarded morgue and office, much of it via Toftoy's solicitation of donations from the community.
"I am thankful and grateful for the support of these respected officials, all of whom have fought the Chicago machine on behalf of our needs in Kendall County," Toftoy said.
"But the endorsement I value the most is from the families of Kendall County whom I serve, often at the most difficult time of their lives," Toftoy concluded.

I have the up most respect for Senator Lauzen and Congressman Walsh, they come across as straight shooters and conservative. For me, they have confirmed that I will make the right choice when I vote for Mr. Toftoy in November. But what speaks volumes to me is both Sen. Lauzen and Rep. Cross support Mr. Toftoy as they are on two different sides in the GOP.

What two sides of the GOP are you talking about? Fiscally responsible vs. free spenders? Socially responsible vs. anything goes. Law and order vs. chaos? Please elaborate.

Are we talking about Joe Walsh? Because up until you mentioned him, I was with you...I mean, I really liked his music if that's the Joe Walsh you are referring to.The other Joe Walsh I'm not that inclined to endorse.

I'm waiting to see if Toftoy gets the illustrious and highly coveted endorsement from Sheriff Joe Arpaio!

I dunno Tom, it is the General Election. If Joe endorses him, some "sour grapes of wrath" may appear. Now there's a "before and after" puzzle for Wheel of Fortune.
