An 11-year-old boy was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after being struck by a car in Oswego, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

The boy was riding his bike along Light Road near Anchor Drive at 6:33 p.m. when he pulled out in front of a car, police said. The car was unable to stop in time, and the boy was hit, police said.

He was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, police said. Kendall County Sheriff’s spokesman Dep. Craig French said that the boy’s injuries were “incapacitating, but not life-threatening.”

No charges were filed, police said.
