Library Offering Downloadable eBooks

All you need is a library card, PIN and an internet connection.

The Oswego Public Library District now offers downloadable eBooks for adults, teens and children.

With an internet connection and an Oswego library card and PIN, you can download your selections at home to a PC, a Mac, and a variety of other portable devices.

Currently Kindles are not compatible devices, but eBooks for Kindles are expected to be available to libraries soon. eBooks are provided by OMNI (Online Media of Northern Illinois)/Overdrive.

Family Reading Challenge at the Library

Find out what's happening in Oswegowith free, real-time updates from Patch.

The Family Reading Challenge is for families with infants through 14-year-olds. Adults or children may read aloud or the family may listen to an audio book together.

For each week this summer that your family reads 3 hours together, you will receive one entry into the prize drawing for family prize packages. Books may be in any format - board, picture, chapter or nonfiction; that are age appropriate for the children in the family.

Pick up your Family Reading Log at the Youth Services desk at Montgomery and Oswego campuses. The Family Reading Challenge is part of Summer Reading and all your books may also be logged on your individual reading logs.

Call us at the library with your questions. You can reach Adult Services librarians at (630) 978-1024 and Youth Services librarians at (630) 978-1272.
