Man Charged with Aggravated Assault at Oswego Business
Carl R. Buggs brandished a screwdriver in a “threatening manner.”
Oswego police have concluded their investigation of an incident that occurred in September 2011.
Carl R. Buggs, 34, of the 800 block of Gleason Ave., Aurora, has been charged with aggravated assault, a class-A misdemeanor, said Oswego police.
The incident occurred in September 2011 when a male suspect entered an Oswego business in the 2500 block of Route 30 and attempted to steal alcohol.
The suspect was stopped by employees and left the alcohol behind.
Upon being escorted from the building, the suspect brandished a screwdriver in a “threatening manner” and then fled the area.
A warrant has been issued for Buggs for $3,000 or 10 percent required to be posted. As of this time Buggs has not been taken into custody. Anyone with information regarding his location is asked to contact the Oswego Police Department.
