Incident happened along Route 71.

A St. Charles man was found speeding over 40 miles per hour above a posted speed zone and subsequently charged with driving under the influence, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

James D. Peters, 50, of the 6N200 block of Woodland Drive, Saint Charles, was arrested at 10:27 p.m. in the 10800 block of Route 71.

Sheriff’s deputies initiated a traffic stop upon seeing a vehicle speeding at 105 MPH in a 55 MPH speed zone on Route 71 near Legion Road.

Peters was arrested for driving under the influence and for speeding 40 MPH or more over the posted speed limit.

Peters posted a $300 full cash bond at 12:51 a.m. on Feb. 5 and is expected in court on March 13.

This infuriates me! So many family members and friends I love travel Rt.71 on a regular basis-I hope he's punished severely!

It was a Tuesday at 10:30 PM, I highly doubt he endagered anyone else on the road. I highly doubt anyone else was even on the road. He should be punished, but you need to calm down.
