Oswego Dunkin' Donuts Plans to Open Before Christmas

The Dunkin' Donuts is located in Prairie Market Shopping Center along Route 34.

The wait is almost over for a Dunkin' Donuts in Oswego.

Oswego has been without a Dunkin' Donuts after the location inside Gas City, at Routes 34 and 71, was  bought out by Speedway in May 2011.

That will soon change as the new Dunkin' Donuts, located in the Prairie Market Shopping Center along Route 34, plans to open before Christmas, according to Rob Mittman, director of marketing for The Hari Group, which is overseeing the new Dunkin’.

Already the outside signage is visible and Mittman said the restaurant "looks fantastic."

Mittman said the Dunkin' upon opening will run a promotion with both high schools to raise money for their booster programs.

The Dunkin’ will be situated at the east end of the retail strip that also houses Chipotle, Vision Works, Sport Clips and Jersey Mike's.

Excited to have this location open! Can't wait to be a patron in Oswego and skip some log lines in Montgomery!

Do you realize how many calories are in the smoothies from Jamba Juice? I dont think they are as healthy as they appear.

Logansdad is right! The sugar content in their smoothies is ridiculous! Granted it's from fruit, but that will definitely pack on the calories! You're better off having a donught! :)

If you really want fruit smoothies, you can get them at Mik's, right up the road.

If the lines are too long at Dunkin Donuts in Oswego, don't worry they are opening a Dairy Queen in Yorkville. That's not too far, and the nutrition content of the food is comparable.

I'll take any offering from My Sisters L'il Donut Shop any day.
Now there's a really good doughnut.

I've heard from several people that MSLDS has no fryer. If this is the case do they bake their doughnuts? I think they lose business with the hours they keep and not being open on Sunday, unless this has changed. I'm just happy to see that we have some revenue coming in, maybe it'll help the taxes here.

Walt,
The lack of a fryer must be why the place smells so good when you walk in the door. Unlike that other little place out on 34. Ugh.
However they make the doughnuts, you really should try one. it won't be your last, I guarantee.
And thank goodness they are closed on Sundays. More business should follow their lead.

Oswego Resident, Do they bake their doughnuts? My family tries to avoid frying only because I have 2 girls allergic to soy and most everything is fried in oil that contains soy.

Walt,
To be honest, I don't know. I'll ask next time I'm in the shop. Good excuse to get back in there!
I just know that the place doesn't smell like grease as soon as you walk in the door, unlike some other places.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MSLDS! And I love even more that they started carrying cupcakes and other goodies from that other company (cant remember the name) that are gluten free and dairy free. Usually I have to sneak here without my son because he cant have regular donuts. BEST donuts in town!!!

My sister's little donut shop is as good as it gets. Their quality out paces the Dunkin' Donut in my opinion. I'm glad they are closed on Sunday and Monday. Good example for the community. Post office, bank, MSLDS, village hall, schools and no chicken sandwich. Ya gotta love it.
