Paralympian Takes Home Third Medal in London

Joe Berenyi competed in the individual time trial on Wednesday.

With Oswego Paralympian Joe Berenyi's newest medal has a complete set of from the Paralympics in London -- Gold, silver and bronze.

Berenyi won a silver medal in the Men's Individual C3 Time Trial with a time of 23:31.73.

Berenyi won a bronze in the mixed C1 to 5 team sprint on Sunday and took the gold in the 3km individual pursuit on Friday with a world-record time of 3:37.912.

Previously, Berenyi had won the individual pursuit at the national championships last fall in Los Angeles, and said it was one of the two events he was most looking forward to.

A construction accident in 1994 took Berenyi’s right arm and left kneecap.

Berenyi will compete in the individual road race later on Thursday. The games wrap up on Sunday, Sept. 9
