Photos: PrairieFest Day One
A look at some images from the first day of the Oswegoland Park District's massive community festival.
The first day of PrairieFest has come and gone, and if you weren’t there, you missed out.
The festivities started with a blast – literally, as members of the Illinois Society of Amateur Rocketry shot rockets over the crowd, to delighted cheers. And the first day ended with a performance by Wedding Banned, a cover band with a theatrical twist. And in between, Windy City Amusements provided thrilling rides and vendors sold food to hungry families.
Check out our photos, and feel free to add your own.
PrairieFest is the biggest event the Oswegoland Park District organizes each year. The festival continues today, and runs through Sunday. For the lineup, read this story.

Someone cut the wires to the adult rides so i would suggest making sure the rides are back on before heading over!
