Plank Jr. High Student Still Missing After Four Days

No new updates regarding 13-year-old Reyna Martinez's whereabouts, said the Kendall County Sheriff's office.

Reyna Martinez, a 13-year-old Boulder Hill girl, is still missing after four days, the Kendall County Sheriff's office confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

Detective Sergeant Joe Jasnosz of the Kendall County Sheriff's office said Reyna was last seen Sunday morning at her home in the 0-100 block of Long Beach Road.

According to a family member, the Plank Junior High student has deleted all of her family from her Facebook account.  She has friends in Oswego, Montgomery and Plainfield, the family member said.

Reyna was last seen wearing a black tank top, white Abercrombie hooded jacket, blue jeans, and black Converse shoes with a pink near the laces.

Jasnosz confirmed that she is still missing and that foul play is not suspected. Reyna's mother, Karie Anne Marie Degand, reported to the Sheriff's office that her daughter ran away.

Anyone who may have seen Reyna or has information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Kendall County Sheriff's office at 630-553-7500.

She's 13 years old? She looks at least 20 in this photo.

13 going on 30. It's tough to be a kid these days. So much pressure from so many directions.
I hope she can work out her issues with her family and get back in school where she belongs.

Really you are making comments on how old she looks. You all must be 40 going on 13. As a parent of three children one at plank who is is a bit of a handful I can't imagine what her friends and family are going thru. Perhaps the police should try to return her home as opposed to saying she ran away. Look what happens to runaways in our country. And Yes Everyday 2000 children run away.

When parents call about their child "who is a bit of a handful" and has left home, they are classified as missing/runaway. Kids that runaway are doing it for what they believe is a better option than being at home with their parents or in most cases just one parent. File a FOIA and see how many juveniles runaway and return later on a daily basis like a revolving door.

I'm a little disturbed as to why this is so hush hush in the local community. This site is the only place you will find any information on this case and it makes it seem like it's being dismissed because this young girl "ran away". The only thing I can imagine is that she has been in touch with her family and friends in some way or fashion. As a father of 3 young girls, one a fellow student of Reyna's, I am deeply concerned with how this case is being handled in our community. Can somebody please confirm that this is in fact the case and she is "safe" at the current time. If this cannot be confirmed, why is there not any urgent action taking place to find this young girl?

I.j
Read my post I said I had a child that let me rephrase for you is very spirited. As parents we have directed his energy into dirt biking and many outdoor sports and encourage his creativity.
I am a volunteer at a local shelter for women and children. THE POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE stop commenting on how old she looks. Yes everyday in thr Unitef States 2000 children run away or go missing. And I did not post this before but humans are the second highest thing trafficked in our country drugs are number one sad.
