Plank Students Charged with Battery After Fight
Fight breaks out after taunts over text and Facebook.
Two students were charged with battery at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday after a fight with another student at the school.
The students, one a 12-year-old girl and the other a 13-year-old girl, got into a argument with another student over text messages and postings left on Facebook, according to Rob Sherwood, Oswego police media relations officer. The victim began defending herself against one of the girls and the other jumped in shortly after, Sherwood said.
The victim was injured, but Sherwood said he was unsure whether she received treatment. The other two were released to a parent, Sherwood said.
