Monday, Aug. 27
Damaged property
Oswego police responded to a report of a damaged mailbox in the 200 block of Long Beach Road. Damages are estimated around $1,000.
Possession of controlled substance
Vanessa R. Bonula, 25, of the 1200 block of Morgan St., Rockford, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. at Rout 34 and Douglas Road and charged with the possession of a controlled substance and the possession of prescription forms, said Oswego police.
Credit card theft
Oswego police are currently investigating a report of the unlawful use of a credit card used at both the Oswego Meijer and Target. About $460 was spent on the cards.
Sunday, Aug. 26
No valid driver’s license, improper lane use
Gloria Barrera, 37, of the 500 block of Second Ave., Aurora, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. at Douglas and Old Post Road. and charged with having no valid driver’s license and improper lane use, said Oswego police.
No valid driver’s license
Angelica Mora, 28, of the 1000 block of Lebanon, Aurora, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. at Rt. 30 and Harvey and charged with having no valid driver’s license, said Oswego police.
No valid driver’s license, loud muffler
Juan Ramirez, 25, of the 0-99 block of Shell Court, was arrested at 3:55 a.m. at Chicago Road and Route 71 and charged with having no valid driver’s license and a loud muffler, said Oswego police.
Saturday, Aug. 25
DUI, hit and run, no insurance
Ryan S. Craig, 28, of the 0-99 block of Saugatuck Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. at Rt. 34 and Pearces Ford Drive and charged with a DUI, hit and run and having no insurance, said Oswego police.
Theft
Darrell N. Brown, 21, of the 200 block of North Ave., Aurora, and a male juvenile, 15, were arrested at 3:45 a.m. in the 500 block of Heritage Drive and charged with theft, said Oswego police. The amount stolen was reported at $85.
Retail Theft
Oswego police responded to a report at Kohl’s that two coffee makers, valued at $500, had been removed from the store and then recovered. The investigation is pending.
Friday, Aug. 24
DUI, speeding
Manuel J. Vasquez, 45, of the 400 block of Exchange, Sycamore, was arrested at 3:01 a.m. at Route 71 and Plainfield and charged with driving under the influence, said Oswego police. He was also charged with speeding.
No valid driver’s license, loud muffler
Jose G. Godinez, 35, of the 500 block of Sixth Ave., Aurora, was arrested at 11:00 p.m. at Hill and Goodwin and charged with having no valid driver’s license and a loud muffler, said Oswego police.
Armando Ordaz, 21, of the 500 block of Heritage Drive, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. at Jackson Place and Chicago Road and charged with having no valid driver’s license and a loud muffler, said Oswego police.
Fake checks
Oswego police responded to a report of five fake checks being written from an individual’s bank account. The department is still investigating.
Thursday, Aug. 23
Retail Theft
Oswego police responded to a theft report that occurred at 1:45 p.m. at a Speedway on the corner of Route 34 and Wolf Road. Someone had reportedly pumped $47.33 worth of gas and had not paid for it.
Oswego police responded to a theft report that occurred at 4:17 a.m. the day before at the Oswego Wal-Mart. Approximately $2,000 worth of merchandise was stolen, Oswego police are investigating.
Driving with license revoked
Wicah R. Schmidt, 23, of the 2100 block of Walcott Road, Aurora, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. at Rt. 34 and Douglas and charged with driving with a revoked license, said Oswego police.
Wednesday, Aug. 22
Criminal damage to property
Oswego police responded to a report of criminal damage to property at the 200 block of Dorset Ave. A rock had been thrown through a window, costing an estimated $300 worth of damage.
Tuesday, Aug. 21
Driving with suspended license, no insurance
John E. Britton, 25, of the 1300 block of Ottawa Ave., Ottawa, was arrested at 9:22 p.m. at Rt. 71 and Orchard and charged with driving with a suspended license and no insurance, said Oswego police.
Driving with suspended license, improper lane usage
Neil A. Satvedl, 30, of the 1400 block of Jefferson Ave., Naperville, was arrested at 9:43 p.m. at Kendall Point Drive and Kirkland Circle and charged with driving with a suspended license, said Oswego police. He was also cited with improper lane usage.
No valid driver’s license
Karla Suarez-Ortega, 31, of the 200 block of Springbrook Trail, was arrested at 7:59 p.m. at Douglas and Barnaby and charged with having no valid driver’s license, said Oswego police.
Car theft
Oswego police responded to a report of an incident that occurred sometime between 10 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Aug. 19 of a residential theft. A 2001 Honda motorcycle, valued at $10,000, had been taken from a driveway in the 500 block of Cardinal Ave. Police are still investigating.

Failure to appear warrant, driving with license suspended
Lizbeth Sanchez, 19, of the 400 block of N. Union, Aurora, was arrested at 3:55 p.m. at Douglas and Barnaby and charged with a failure to appear warrant and driving with a suspended license, said Oswego police. She was also cited for two seatbelt counts.
