Police Blotter: Thefts Reported at OHS

Oswego police reports, Feb. 1-5

 

Monday, Feb. 5

Battery

Frederick Straub, 49, of 241 Paradise Parkway in Oswego, was charged with battery at about 8:15 p.m. Monday at his home, according to an Oswego police report. He was given a Feb. 24 court date.

Saturday, Feb. 3

Marijuana possession

Joshua Veliz, 24, of Oswego, and Rebecca Walz, 19, of Yorkville, were charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia respectively at about midnight Saturday in the 4000 block of Route 71, according to an Oswego police report. They were given a March 9 court date.

Friday, Feb. 2

Cell phone taken

An student at Oswego High School reported a cell phone taken from a locker room at the school at about 11:30 a.m. Friday, according to an Oswego police report. The value of the phone was estimated at $300.

Thursday, Feb. 1

Theft

A 16-year-old Oswego girl was charged with theft of mislaid property at Oswego High School at about 11:30 a.m. Feb. 1, according to an Oswego police report. The value of the item was placed at about $80.

Battery

A 15-year-old Aurora boy was charged with battery at about 9:15 a.m. Friday at Oswego East High School, according to a police report. The victim, a 15-year-old Oswego resident, was taken to the hospital by a parent, the report said.
