Sheriff: Drunk Man Drives Around Caterpillar

Incident happened Tuesday night at the Cat plant off Route 31.

A 51-year-old intoxicated man was found driving around the Caterpillar Tractor Co. off of Route 31 Tuesday night, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Esteban Galvan Saucedo, 51, of the 700 block of Charles Street, Aurora, was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 9:50 p.m. after Sheriff’s deputies received reports of a seemingly intoxicated motorist driving on Caterpillar property.

Saucedo was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

He has no connection with Caterpillar, said the Sheriff’s office. No property damage was reported.

Had to chuckle at the title of this article. Heard of swerving to avoid a deer but never a caterpillar. Or just driving around with one in your car needing a ride somewhere. Happy Monday

It was not a caterpillar as in an animal, it was the large tractor and construction production company. People need to stop driving under the influence, it's unhealthy.

I'm pretty sure that's why she thought it was funny. Because it wasn't a caterpillar as in an animal. Christine ... that was funny, I agree! :)

Christine - I thought it was funny, too (the title of the article, not the drunk driver which is never funny.) Oswego Tom needs to lighten up a bit!

I thought the same thing, that he was so drunk he didn't want to hit a "caterpillar". (insect)

Haha, I'm laughing a bit too. I've always just associated Caterpillars with CAT and didn't even think of the cute little bug! That would be rather funny if it was the insect!
