Snapshot: Caps for Kids Fundraiser
Send your local snapshots to natalie.stevens@patch.com.
The Student Senate at Boulder Hill recently held their 5th annual Caps for Kids Fundraiser. Students who wanted to wear a cap/hat to school for the day could donate $1.00 for this worthwhile cause.
The fundraiser accepts donations to purchase caps for children who have lost their hair to illnesses or treatments which are then autographed by their celebrity hero.
In addition to wearing caps to school, the students could purchase raffle tickets to bring in the hats that Mr. Schafermeyer, Mrs. Dineen, and Mr. Lackey would wear on that day. The school was able to collect $337.00 for this organization.
Special thanks to Becky Hejtmanek for the photo and release.

Nice to see the kid getting involved in a great cause. Hats off (pun intended) to all those that took place in this.

Such an amazing school always giving back and teaching that sometimes the process is fun, but the enjoyment of actually giving back is 'funner'! I wonder how much they raised for Hurricane Sandy today! Mrs. Hejtmanek is the teacher behind the Student Senate and an incredible role model for these students! And yes, seeing 'the office' in funny hats is always hilarious! Way to go Bobcats!
