The third annual pumpkin races were held last Saturday in downtown Oswego. The event, put on by the Oswegoland Optimist Club, drew huge crowds to watch the pumpkins race (and get smashed).
Prior to the racing, pumpkins were judged on cuteness, originality, scariness amongst other things.
Nathan Loetscher, 9, of Yorkville won first place for scariest pumpkin. His pumpkin was designed to be a zombie and he was a zombie hunter.
