DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;On July 1st\, at 3:00 p.m.\, Music Director\, Maryann 
 Flock\, and the Fox Valley Philharmonic Orchestra will present a free ou
 tdoor concert at the Naperville Concert Center&nbsp\;featuring a collect
 ion of spectacular&nbsp\;operatic works by vocal soloists and orchestral
  musicians.&nbsp\; Virtuoso sopranos Victoria VerHoven and Katheryn Barr
 ett-Brown joined by the accomplished tenor\, James Schopp\, will perform
  popular arias by Mozart\, Johann Strauss\, Giuseppe Verdi and others.\n
 &nbsp\;As a special treat\, Naperville&rsquo\;s Mayor Pradel will be the
  guest conductor for Sousa&rsquo\;s rousing operatic march\, &ldquo\;El 
 Capitan.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;In addition\, instrumental works to be per
 formed by the Philharmonic include the popular&nbsp\;and fast-paced &ldq
 uo\;Silken Ladder Overture&rdquo\;&nbsp\;by Rossini\,&nbsp\;and the patr
 iotic &ldquo\;1812 Overture&rdquo\; by Tchaikovsky\, as well as the sump
 tuous &ldquo\;Carmen Suite&rdquo\; by Georges Bizet.&nbsp\;\nTwo youth e
 nsembles of the Fox Valley Academy of Music Performance will lead off th
 e outdoor concert. The Fox Valley Youth Strings and the Academy Orchestr
 a\, under the direction of Cara Ying\, will delight the audience with a 
 few light favorites.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;These talented young performers will a
 lso be joining the Philharmonic in Wagner&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Rienzi&nbsp\;
 Overture&rdquo\;.\nDon&rsquo\;t miss the&nbsp\;musical&nbsp\;excitement 
 of &ldquo\;Operatic Fireworks!&rdquo\;&nbsp\; Admission to the concert i
 s free\, and donations are accepted. The concert will be held in downtow
 n Naperville&rsquo\;s&nbsp\;Central Park at 104 E. Benton Avenue. Refres
 hments will be sold by the New Horizons Band of DuPage. The Concert Cent
 er has benches with back support\, and a children&rsquo\;s playground is
  nearby for interested families.&nbsp\; Parking is available at the Jeff
 erson Street lot and along side streets adjacent to the Concert Center.&
