The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for the Oswego area from 9 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday.
Temperatures are expected to be between 8 below and 18 below and the wind chill is expected to be between 15 below and 25 below.
A wind chill advisory means there will be very cold air and strong winds that combine to make a wind chill. Frostbite and hypothermia are possible if precautions are not taken, warns the NWF.
If you must go outside, the NWF recommends wearing a hat and gloves.
