Rover Rescue Dog of the Week

Did you know there is a website called LaineyGossip.com?  Its byline is “Calling All Smuthounds”. Sometimes, I am amazed at what you can find through Google! Well, my name is LAINEY.   I could be the official entertainment reporter for Rover Rescue.  I could tell you all the doo doo; including who left the unwanted package on the living room floor, or whose adoption fell through because of unanticipated allergies (I hate it when that happens) or which macho dog was distraught when he lost prized body parts.  My favorite person to talk about is me!  I am an 18 month old Golden Retriever/ Labrador Mix that weighs 55 pounds.  I have a gorgeous coat and it is true that blonds have more fun!  I am quite a party girl!  I like to play all day and all night.  I would love to have another party animal (human or canine) to entertain at your house, but I do have to confess that I like to play rough!  I would probably not be the best candidate for a family with children under the age of 8.  I am great with kids, but I would hate to knock them over in a time of high energy and have been known to be a little mouthy… no, I do not talk back!  Just like a lot of young female celebrities (and I could so insert names here), I could benefit from some etiquette training and some sessions with Miss Manners.  You see, I am really just a puppy in an adult body.  I know with some time and patience, I will blossom in an awesome adult.  I would thrive with an experienced dog owner and obedience training.  I am learning not to counter-surf at my foster home.  I am also working really hard on my housebreaking skills.  If a timely schedule is maintained, I am accident free.  I will even ask to go out on occasion by going to the door.  I am crate trained, but a reluctant participant.  Once I am in my crate, I am quiet and well behaved.  The challenge is getting me into it.  My 55 pounds can sometimes seem like 155 pounds.  I am crated while my foster family is away.  I can find myself in mischief if left out on my own.  Rawhides and chew toys do help keep me out of trouble.  If you are looking for a loveable, goofy Lab that will give you a lot to talk about, call Teri at 630-897-7454.  So have you heard the latest??  The adoption fee for Lainey is $200.
