Rover Rescue Dog of the Week

Hi!  My name is Vin.  I am a 2 year old male Great Dane/American Bulldog mix that currently weighs 75 lbs.  I am so soft and handsome that it is very easy to fulfill my desires for a good belly rub!  I am also very well behaved and housebroken so I don’t need to be crated when left alone or when it is time to bed down for the night.  I am not a chewer so your shoes and kids’ toys are safe with me.  I know the basic commands of sit, down, come, stay and give paw.  My foster family is working with me on roll-over.  I am great with people of all ages.  My 5 yr. old foster (human) sibling loves me so much!  She thinks I am her pillow, doll, playmate and napkin, etc… Yes, I did say napkin as she’d rather have me lick her face clean than use an actual napkin. I am just that gentle!  If I think I need more loving from my humans, I will nudge their arm until it is wrapped around my neck and ready to pet some more.  I love my daily walks and my leash manners have greatly improved.  Although I enjoy the company of other dogs, I may play too rough for small dogs.  The high kill shelter that I was rescued from said that I didn’t pay any attention to cats, but my foster family doesn’t have firsthand knowledge of this as there are no feline members.  If you would like to add an awesome, gentle friend to your family, please contact Teri at 630-897-7454.  You won’t be sorry!
