Get Out: Easter Weekend Edition

It's Easter weekend. Search for some eggs and hit up a local spot for a filling brunch.

This week’s events include egg hunts and fundraisers. The kids are off for Good Friday – hope your family enjoys the long Easter weekend.

Why Go: The thrill of an egg hunt and there are some great prizes. Ages 6-16. Dress for the weather.
Pricing: $5 for residents; Must pre-register with park district 630-554-1010

Why Go: The Optimist Club and Allied First Bank are organizing raffles, games, food and the egg hunt. Hot dog lunches also being sold.

Where/When: Hoppers Inflatable Family Fun Center, 181 Commercial Dr., Yorkville; Fri. 10-8
Why Go: Your kids will have fun while being active and raising money for a good cause. $2 from each admission is donated to Kendall County Food Pantry’s Project Stand by Me/Project Brown Bag which helps feed 2500 Kendall County students over the summer.
Pricing: $9 p/child for 2 hours of bouncing ($2 of each admission donated to Food Pantry)

• EASTER BRUNCH AT TUSCANY

Where/When: Tuscany Italian Restaurant, 4092 Route 71, All day Sunday starting at 9 a.m.
Why go: Friendly service, good prices and a great way to support a new locally owned restaurant.
Pricing: $14 for adults, $7 for children 12 and under, kids under 4 eat free

• SPRING CHARITY DAY AT BORDERS

Where/When: Naperville Borders, 336 S. Rte 59; Sat beginning at 12:00
Why Go: Charity Drive for Kids – learn how you can volunteer in your community. Book and toy collection to help local children in need.
Pricing: FREE!!


Where/When: Kendall Pub, 209 S. Bridge St., Yorkville; Friday 9:00
Why Go: Head Honchos, a blues band will perform live
Pricing: No cover charge!


Where/When: Binny’s Beverage Depot, 790 Royal Saint George Dr., Naperville; Friday 6-8:30
Why Go: Wine tasting and for a good cause. Proceeds benefit the Naperville Humane Society
Pricing: $10-20
