Oswego Playhouse Presents “The Time of the Cuckoo”123 W Washington St, Oswego, (below Tap House Grill) Feb. 25 to Feb. to 27. On Feb. 25 and 26, the doors open at 6:30 p.m., while the show starts at 8 p.m. On Feb. 27, the doors open at 12:30 p.m. and the show starts at 2 p.m.
Why Go: The Oswego Playhouse is a talented group of local actors doing their best to entertain local crowds. Support local theater and get a good meal from the Tap House.

A Short Drive Away

Swing Dance Night
Where/When: America’s Historic Roundhouse, Aurora; Sunday, Feb. 27 from 7 to 10 p.m.
Why Go: Dance lessons start at 7 p.m. and you can be swinging to live music at 8 p.m.
Pricing: $10.

History of Horse Racing in Aurora
Where/When: Aurora Regional Fire Museum, 53 N. Broadway, Aurora; Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m.
Why Go: Aurora Downs anyone? John Jaros, director of the Aurora Historical Society, is giving the talk. He knows his stuff.
Pricing: $3 members/$5 nonmembers.


Where/When: Perry Theater at Aurora University; Thurs. through Sat. at 7:30
Why Go: It’s an original play written by a Montgomery theater major. It has a female lead and sword-fighting.
Pricing: Free.
