Why go: Otters, cougars, bald eagles, reptiles & many more animals are cared for at this local zoo. Great place to take little ones before investing in a trip to a larger zoo.

Why go: Have fun while raising money for Oswego East student athletes. Concessions available, local vendors, raffles and other contests.
Pricing: Competition entry cost $10 and up (unless you are a student or staff); Prize payouts.

Where/When: Old Town Books and Tea, 63 S Madison St, Oswego; Saturday 11-11:30 a.m.
Why go: Volunteers read from a children’s classic, refreshments are served and a 10 percent off coupon is offered to participants.
