Local Author Leading Writing Workshops

Jim Cherry to discuss all-things publishing.

Starting Thursday Jan. 19, local author Jim Cherry will be leading the Writers’ Workshop.

Cherry will discuss every aspect of writing and publishing from techniques and to the state of the publishing industry, as well, as discussing and critiquing the groups’ works in progress. 

Cherry is the author of the novels The Last Stage, Becoming Angel and a book of short stories, Stranger Souls, all of which can be found at his Jymsbooks website.

He also writes regular columns for The Doors Examiner, as well as, monthly columns for the online magazine and radio show, Rant’s, Raves, and Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Cherry has also recently written the foreword to the Backbeat Books book, The Doors FAQ. The Writers Workshop will meet every third Thursday of the month at the Oswego Library’s Montgomery Campus from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
