National Weather Service Issues Winter Weather Advisory with Snowfall for Kendall County

Anywhere from 3-5 inches of snow is expected to fall Thursday evening into Friday.

Could this finally be the "big snow" that we've all been waiting for? 

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in Kendall County from 9 p.m. Thursday to 6 p.m. Friday.

Snow is expected to develop Thursday evening and continue into Friday, the NWS said Thursday morning. The snow may mix with light freezing drizzle or rain Friday morning, making for slick travel. Storm total snowfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches are expected, with ice accumulation of less than one-tenth of an inch.

The Chicago area could see its "biggest snow of the year" Thursday into Friday morning, according to Accuweather.com

So far, we've received little more than a dusting, so is the "biggest snow of the year" going to be something on which we can sled?

Snowfall is expected to begin in the Kendall County area around 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening and continue all through Friday with snow fall tapering off into flurries around 11:00 p.m., according to Accuweather.com.
