Sunday Line-Up for PrairieFest

Looking for something specific to do on the last day of PrairieFest?  Check out Sunday's line-up.

All events are at PrairieFest Grounds unless otherwise noted. 

8 a.m. - 4 p.m. PrairieFest Car Show: antique and classic cars, DJ and door prizes located at Route 71 in the south OHS parking lot.

8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Father's Day Pancake Breakfast: American Legion, 19 W. Washington St.

8:30 a.m.  PrairieFest 5k and 1 mile prairie dog jog: race starts at Prairie Point Center and weaves through Lakeview and Deerpath neighborhoods. $30 for 5k day of race, $15 for 1 mile. Dry weave t-shirt, ribbons and trophies. Participants are welcome to run with their dogs.

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Oswego Country Market: downtown Oswego

9:30 a.m. Community worship service: children's tent

10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Vogel's exotic animals petting zoo

12 p.m. - 6 p.m. Miller's petting zoo

1 p.m. - 6 p.m.  PrairieFest expo village: hundreds of crafters and businesses to visit

1 p.m.  PrairieFest parade: the annual parade led by honorary marshals, the past coordinators of PrairieFest, downtown Oswego (see map)

1 p.m. - 6 p.m. Windy City Amusements Carnival: $20 wristbands with unlimited rides from 2 - 6 p.m. 

1 p.m. - 6 p.m. Free pony rides

3 p.m. - 5 p.m. 104.3 KHITS

3 p.m. Hot Dog Eating Contest: earn the title of the biggest mouth at the fest, children's tent

4 p.m. Kids Ice Cream Eating Contest, children's tent

3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.  PrairieFest Bed Races: teams build their own hot rod slumber system and race to greatness on Theodore Drive, opposite the festival grounds. Purse goes to the favorite charity of each division's winning team.
