Village to Host Sunday Concerts in The Park

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the free concerts.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket, lawn chairs and food to enjoy with the concert. Snacks can be purchased at the , which takes place along Main Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from downtown stores.

“We were happily surprised with the popularity of the Country Market and we wanted to find a way to keep people downtown longer," said Oswego Community Relations Manager Michele Bergeron. "We hope people come to the market and then stay for the concert."

The local five-piece band Back Alley will perform Sunday. The band, which has been playing together for more than 19 years, plays a music variety of rock, classics, blues, oldies and originals.

TRiO is set to perform Sept. 18, with Roger Legel, Kris Henderson and Dave Enway performing classic hits from the 60’s and 70’s.

“We are excited to feature local talent,” said Bergeron. "Downtown Oswego is a gem and the Main Street merchants are amazing. We hope people come out and take part and enjoy what Oswego has to offer."
