The Village of Oswego is partnering with the Oswego Tourism Bureau and the Oswegoland Park District to announce “Wine on the Fox," a premier wine tasting festival in downtown Oswego on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.

With the assistance of the Fox Valley Winery and the Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Association, Wine on the Fox is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Wine on the Fox will take place in the Oswego Village Hall Plaza, 100 Parkers Mill, and parking is available in all available lots throughout downtown Oswego.

Both days will include wine from eighteen Illinois wineries, food from local vendors and magnificent musical entertainment on Saturday will feature Jeff LaMarre and Kurt Schoenfielder, The Next Level, Copy Cat and headliner Shirley King.

On Sunday, the musical lineup includes Trio, Lincoln Don’t Lie and headliner Maggie Speaks.

A designated driver tent will be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Oswego. A free children’s art activity will be provided by Fox River Academy of Music and Art on Saturday and Sunday.

Wine on the Fox is free and open to the public. Wine Tasting is $15 per day for a souvenir wine glass, wristband and 5 tasting tickets. An advanced two-day pass may be purchased for $25, which includes one souvenir wine glass and 20 tasting tickets (10 per day). Advanced two-day passes are non-refundable.

I think the name should now be " wine on the plaza" since the Fox is no longer part of the festival, along with the downtown.
