Over 250 Works of Art Displayed at the Oswego Business & Consumer Expo
Each age-category received three awards.
On April 13, the Fox River Academy of Music and Art helped coordinate the third annual Oswego Business & Consumer Expo Art Exhibition and Competition. The show received over 250 pieces of art from local schools, independent and adult amateur artists-- the largest number of entries ever collected for the Expo Art Show.
The two judges for the event were Sandy Lowder and Adam Bedore. Lowder is an
Illinois-certified art teacher and special-needs advocate and Bedore is a professional graphic artist and illustrator.
Participating schools included: Oswego High School, Oswego East High School, Plainfield East High School, Yorkville High School, East View Kindergarten Center, Prairie Point Elementary, Boulder Hill Elementary, and Churchill Elementary. Centennial Elementary in Plano and Fox River Academy of
Music & Art also submitted work to the show.

New to the show this year was the inclusion of Adult Amateur Artist age category.
The judges awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons in several age groups.
