Who Is Performing at Oswego's Beats and Eats? Take a Listen

Four music acts thus far have been signed to perform at the first Oswego Beats and Eats in August.

Things are really starting to roll for the first Oswego Beats and Eats outdoor music festival. 

The festival, which will be hosted between the Village of Oswego and Oswego businessman and resident Macey Brooks, wants to celebrate diversity through music, art and food. 

Community relations manager Michele Brown said the festival hopes to draw in a different demographic - like those in their twenties - that current festivals in Oswego do not reach.

Beat and Eats is set for Saturday, Aug. 10 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Prairie Point Park.

Four musical acts have thus far been signed on to perform at the festival with more on their way. Check out their official sites below and listen to their music in the provided YouTube video.

  1. The Floorwalkers - A group of friends out of Columbus, Ohio, The Floorwalkers are an independent group that have built a grassroots following.

  2. Marina City - A modern rock band out of Chicago, Marina City's debut sold out the show at the House of Blues and took second place at Columbia College’s Biggest Mouth.

  3. MaryLeigh and the Fauves - Led by 22-year-old MaryLeigh Roohan, the group has performed in different venues all over the country.

  4. Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors - This group has performed on TV shows such as Nashville, House, One Tree Hill, How I Met Your Mother, Deadliest Catch, Parenthood, Justified and Oprah.
