Cupcakes 2 Remember Closing Storefront

On Saturday, Oct. 12 Cupcakes 2 Remember and a Whole Lot More sold its last cupcake at their Mason Square location.

The bakery, which has been open for almost two years in Oswego, is going back to its roots of pre-orders of cakes, cupcakes and candies. 

Owner Kristi George said they did not reach the decision easily to close their storefront, but wrote in a letter to their customers, "We feel it is what we need to do."

George said the majority of the business is pre-orders and by closing the storefront the Cupcakes 2 Remember team will be able to offer the same products at a "better value."

The phone number will remain the same and the Facebook, website and email will not change either. All orders can be made by calling 630-636-9484. 

Because the staff is smaller, George asks that customers be sure to place their orders in advance. 

In the future, George said she would like to re-open a storefront, but in an area with a bit more foot traffic. 

Currently Cupcakes 2 Remember sells at the Yorkville farmer's market and George is hoping to bring Cupcakes to the Oswego country market next year.
