When and how did your business get started?

We got started four years ago. We wanted to do something purposeful and meaningful with our lives. Even though we came from a pretty successful background we didn't find true satisfaction with what we were doing.

Our passions were inspiring people mentally and physically. Since I had been in martial arts throughout my life and along the way had a 100-pound weight-loss success story, and my wife had a genuine passion for people,we knew we could fulfill our purpose through Martial Arts, Fitness & Training.

My wife and I devoted every ounce of time and energy in providing the community with a safe family friendly atmosphere that would inspire people & teach real self-defense.

What is your business best known for?

Dominion is best known for Mentorship to empower the mind, body, and soul through total wellness coaching, in order to live a healthy lifestyle.

We have the most success building people by doing community outreaches and global outreaches. This allows people to serve, and something special is done to the heart of a person that serves.

Being members of the Character Counts Coalition and also being on the Board of Character Counts, we have had the honor of speaking at several elementary schools on Character over the last few years. We have also done rally's at the Jr. Highs on self worth and Bullying.

This has given us a concrete reputation for building and inspiring people.

Our most popular classes are our kids classes 4-8 year olds, youth classes 9-13 year olds, adult co-ed self defense classes, and our women-only get fit self-defense program that specializes in empowering women with the confidence and skill to handle domestic battery, and assault situations.

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?

We decided to plant ourselves in Oswego because it was a town that we could see us raising our children in. We wanted to offer stability to our family and settle down in a town that we could spend many years in that would be safe and we could serve in.

Now that we decided on the town, we knew that we would be able to serve in the community with our personal gifts and talents. Empowering people mentally and physically.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

Our vision for Dominion is way bigger than what we are doing now.

Does your business offer a special deals card or program?

Right now we are offering a free two-week trial to any of our classes.
