Garden Faire Shop Opens Saturday

Former Keith's Car Care location has been transformed into new downtown gateway.

John Zidlicky and his Garden Faire crew have been working day and night to open the new gateway to the downtown business district.

Zidlicky's year-round garden store, located at the former Keith's Car Care location at 5 S. Madison St., opens today at 9 a..m. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday afternoon.

"I never thought we'd open this on time," Zidlicky said.

The lot across from the Oswego Public Library has sat vacant since 2007 when Keith's owner Keith Wolff moved his automotive shop to its current Stonehill Road location.

Zidlicky completely transformed the spot with new fencing, landscaping, and interior and exterior overhauls.

"It's just phenomenal," Wolff said. "It just looks great."

The shop's hours will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
