Hardee's Coming to Oswego

The restaurant will take over the old Taco Veloz location.

While we're on the topic of which restaurant has the best burger in Oswego, a new burger joint is planning to make Oswego home.

Hardee's has plans to open a location in Oswego at 2420 Route 30, by Kendall 10 Movie Theater.

The location has been home to a host of other restaurants that have ultimately gone out of business. Hardee's will be taking over from Taco Veloz, which opened in 2011.

Previous occupants of the building included a Benedict's, Steak n' Shake and Smokey's BBQ.

Oswego Building & Zoning manager Patty Lariviere confirmed that Hardee's will be moving in and has plans to remodel the building, with a permit issued on Nov. 20.

So far there is no planned opening date for the restaurant.

The sign posted in front of the restaurant says Hardee's is hiring, but searches on their website turned up no openings.
