Mediterranean Spa Opens in Oswego
Spa of Argos has a grand opening celebration planned for April 14.
A new business in Oswego wants to make sure customers don't have to spend a lot to pamper themselves a bit.
Spa of Argos, a Mediterranean organic day spa, opened this week in downtown Oswego.
While this week is a "quiet opening," co-owner Katherine Moraetes said a grand opening is scheduled for April 14.
The venture is a labor of love for Moraetes and her mother, Joanne, who moved to Oswego 10 years ago.
"We absolutely fell in love with the downtown," Moraetes said. The mother-daughter duo always dreamed of opening their own spa, she said.
The spa, 123 W. Washington St., is inspired by natural and organic healing found in the Mediterranean's oldest city, Argos, Greece.
"We use the best organic, natural products," Moraetes said, "but we're also affordable," with spa treatments starting at $18. "We are a way to naturally heal and feel better."
Spa of Argos offers treatments including Mediterranean massage, vitamin C therapy and hot stone therapy.
