Morris Hospital Opening Campus in Yorkville

Groundbreaking began in early December.

Next spring there'll be a new hospital in town.

Morris Hospital and Healthcare Centers, based in Morris, Ill., is building a new medical facility at 105 Saravanos Road and surrounding buildings, including the old Stacked Liquors Building. 

Krysti J. Barksdale-Noble, community development director of Yorkville, confirmed that Morris Hospital will be remodeling the building and turning it into a Yorkville campus.

The Yorkville location will accommodate immediate care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, occupational medicine, primary care, and specialty physician offices.

The new campus is scheduled for a spring 2014 opening.
