Orchard Road Likely to Get Dunkin' Donuts, Bank

A special meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15 to further discuss the unit.

Orchard Road may soon see several new businesses.

The Village's Plan Commission received an application for CDSC, LLC to built a multi-tenant building on a 1.2 acre property - called Orchard Woods Lot No. 2 - located on the east side of Orchard Road and south of Lewis Street.

According to Village documents, the property is currently zoned as a B-3 community service and wholesale district, which all surrounding lots are also zoned at save the White Oak Senior Apartments to the East.

The multi-tenant building would house four businesses which at this time include a Dunkin' Donuts, a bank, a flower shop and a jewelry shop.

The Plan Commission and Village staff had several revisions that would need to be included for the building to continue forward, including the installation of 6-foot sidewalks alongside Orchard and Lewis, convert the east two-way drive aisle to a one-way northbound, raise elevations, parking lot landscape and revise lighting plan to comply with Village Code.

There will be a special meeting on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. at Village Hall to further discuss the unit development.
