There will be a soft opening, in which proceeds will benefit Churchill Elementary School.

For Potbelly fans, it's an early Christmas present.

The Oswego Potbelly, located at 2332 Route 34, is set to have a grand opening on Wednesday, Dec. 4, according to employee Amy Rieger.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3., the store will have a "soft opening" though between the hours of 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. where customers will pay $5 and receive a regular sized sandwich, a bag of chips, and a fountain drink.

All proceeds from the soft opening will be donated to Oswego 308's Churchill Elementary School.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is known for its toasted sandwiches, soups and salads.  The Oswego location will have a drive-thru for patrons on the go.

Once open, store hours will be: Sunday - Thursday 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Friday - Saturday 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
