Fast Facts: A berth in the loaded Bolingbrook Sectional next week is on the line as these Indian Prairie School District rivals meet for the Class 4A Oswego East Regional title in their third meeting this season. Second-seeded Neuqua didn’t lose a game in the 2012 portion of its season before stumbling against fellow district rival Metea Valley and a solid Mundelein squad. But those are the only blemishes for the Wildcats. Sandifer has been a three-year starter, and has had a solid senior year. The point guard is headed to Western Illinois next year and is a one-man press break. When the Wildcats lead late, they are in great hands with Sandifer at the controls. Kenny is as solid as they come and has hit countless huge buckets in his career. Mikulecky doesn’t get much recognition, but he harassed Oswego East’s CJ Vaughan into a tough night Wednesday. His assignment Friday may be Brownridge. The Santa Clara recruit is one of the smoothest shooters in the Chicago area and he leads the Warriors. Jefferson has come into his own this season and Warden, the Warriors’ quarterback during football season, has been steady. The second time these teams met, sixth-seeded Waubonsie kept it close, losing 50-47 on Jan. 18.

Quotable: “They defend well and I think that Sandifer really does a good job of controlling the game,” Oswego East coach Ron Murphy said. “It’s a luxury to have a kid that’s like that.”
