Oswego Foundation For Educational Excellence - OFEE

Oswego Foundation For Educational Excellence (OFEE) .....Providing enriching and enhancing educational opportunities for the students of Oswego School District 308

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce the community to the Oswego Foundation For Educational Excellence (OFEE).  Even though OFEE has been around since 1995, we have added a number of residents to the area.  OFEE's focus is a community based organization of interested citizens committed to the goal of enriching and enhancing educational opportunities for the students of Oswego School District 308 by providing materials, equipment and funding for initiatives that cannot be supplied through limited public resources.

Since its incorporation in 1995, the foundation has awarded over $250,000 in grants. In addition, OFEE has established an endowment fund and administers several scholarship funds.  OFEE could not exist without support from the staff of District 308 and its community through the various fundraisers throughout the year and donations made directly to the foundation.

OFEE has provided grants for baggie books at the elementary level, Rebecca Caudill books at the junior highs and elementary schools, author visits at the high schools as well as helping to sponsor the Excellence in Education Banquet at OHS, the Smarty Bus, and the Character Counts program.

Even though these grants are written by teachers, the teacher use these grants for the students for educational purposes.
