The Fight Against Fatigue

Every day millions of Americans struggle with getting up in the morning and staying awake during the day.

Every day millions of Americans struggle with getting up in the morning, and staying awake during the day. The fight against fatigue has been growing yearly and turned into a billion dollar industry. People turn to coffee and energy drinks to get them through the day which can add up to a financial and emotional burden.   Since most people are use to feeling tired and turning to caffeine to get a quick energy fix, they don't know what it feels like to wake up feeling energized and what else can be done to help they with their fatigue.

 

Although caffeine in small amounts has been shown to have some positive health affects, having too much caffeine can cause heart palpations and hypertension. Here are a few tips to help fight fatigue besides having caffeine:

  • Get enough sleep. You should be getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night.
  • Eat small meals throughout the day. Doing this will help keep your blood sugar level and help fight off the afternoon low.
  • Get moving. Exercising daily, even if it's just walking, can help increase your energy.

Doing those things can help increase your energy level and allow you to not be as dependant on a quick energy fix to get through the day. Always remember to contact your doctor if you are feeling chronically or excessively fatigued.
