Kendall County Residents Among Healthiest in the State

A recent study lists Kendall County residents as some of the healthiest in the state. We rank 7th most healthy out of 102 counties, according to The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

The report also provides a snapshot of health statistics for Kendall County. Here are a few: 

• 26 percent of Kendall County adults are obese
• 24 percent of Kendall County adults lack physical activity
• 19 percent of Kendall County adults smoke
• 19 percent of Kendall County adults drink excessively
• 11 percent of Kendall County residents are uninsured
• 7 percent of Kendall County children live in poverty

The survey was based on several factors, including length of life, quality of life, clinical care, health behaviors, socio-economic factors and physical environment.
