Oswegoland Park District Opens New Playground in Boulder Hill on Friday

Opening will be celebrated with coffee and doughnut holes at 9:30 a.m.

Oswego has plenty of parks and playgrounds for children to enjoy.

 At 9:30 a.m. Friday, a new play space joins the mix.

The announced the opening of the Boulder Point Playground at Boulder Point, located at Zero Boulder Hill Pass.

The opening, said Special Events Supervisor Kristie Vest, will be a “celebration of creative design for area kids.”

Once part of a parking lot, the new playground features poured-in-place rubberized surfacing, and is the District’s fifth handicapped accessible park.  Trees were also planted to provide shade.

“It has been years in the works and we are thrilled to celebrate it is open and ready for games of you-can’t-catch-me,” said Vest.

The Oswegoland Park District will have coffee and doughnut holes in the morning to celebrate the opening.
