New Candidate Joins Kendall County Sheriff's Race

Jeff Christiansen has over 18 years experience at the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

A new face has joined the 2014 race for Kendall County Sheriff.

Jeff Christiansen, an Oswego resident, is running as a republic candidate for the upcoming March 2014 election for Sheriff.

Christiansen has served over 18 years with the DuPage County Sheriff's Office and currently serves as an administrative sergeant as Director of Training, Grant Manager and Accreditation Manager for the Law Enforcement division.

He has supervisory experience in the detective unit, drug unit, domestic violence unit, family protection unit and community resource unit. 

Christiansen has also taught Criminal Justice classes at Aurora University for over eight years as an adjunct professor.

Jeff Christianen and his wife, Rebecca, are founders of the Oswego non-for-profit Celebrate Differences.

He enters the race as the third republican candidate. Oswego Police Chief Dwight Baird and Plano Police Chief Steve Eaves have also announced their candidacy.

Current Kendall County Sheriff Richard Randall announced last week that he would not be running this year. Randall will have served as chief for 28 years when his term ends next November.
