2014 Midwest Mardi Gras

2014 Midwest Mardi Gras Benefit
For the third year in a row, The Oswegoland Optimist Club will be hosting the “Midwest Mardi Gras” benefit on Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club in Yorkville, Illinois.  Proceeds from this year’s benefit will be shared among the YARN Foundation, The Susan Kiley Memorial Scholarship Fund, and the Oswegoland Optimist Club.

This year we will again enjoy the fine entertainment of the Dave Katz Band, with dixieland and jazz, as well as The Midway Ramblers, who bring a down south zydeco vibe to a fantastic evening.  Our evening will also feature a delicious bayou buffet, along with an extensive silent auction and raffles throughout the evening.  All of this, and every penny goes towards great causes within the local community!

The Optimist Club of Oswegoland, one of the larger clubs in Illinois, with over 80 members has provided activities and scholarships for the children within the Oswego 308 School District for over 35 years.  The Oswego Optimist members volunteer to work with the youth of our community.  The largest of the annual service projects “The Family Christmas Project”, is underway for the 2013 Christmas season.  Last year the Needy Family Christmas project provided Christmas gifts and groceries to over 107 less fortunate families and 271 children within the 308 school district alone.

A wide range of sponsorship opportunities are available, as well as the opportunity to highlight your business with a silent auction or raffle item.

Ticket prices are:  $40 per person, $75 per couple.  Tickets are available online, prior to the event.  Tickets are also available for purchase at Fox Valley Trophy, Collision Connection Auto Body, and The CAVE/YARN Foundation .  Only 300 tickets will be sold to this event, so don't delay in getting yours!
