Reunion set for Sunday, Aug. 11

The related Lantz,
Eichelberger, Patterson, and Stoner families of Kendall, Kane, Will, and DuPage
counties will hold their 86th annual reunion on Sunday, Aug. 11, at the
home of Nancy Leppert Heaton and Roger Schmidt, at 1151 Simons Road in rural
Oswego Township.

The family has met on the
second Sunday each August since the related Lantz and Stoner families
combined their family reunions in 1939. Last year, 59 family members attended.



 



The reunion’s traditional
potluck dinner will begin at 1 p.m. Those attending are asked to
bring lawn chairs, table service, a dish to pass, chicken or other meat
sufficient for their family, and their favorite family memorabilia to share.
Some soft drinks, lemonade, and ice cream will be furnished.



 



All members of the Lantz,
Stoner, Patterson, Eichelberger, Slick, Schaal and other families related to
John and Daniel Lantz, who settled in Wheatland and Naperville townships in
1850, or any descendants of Baltzer Lantz, who immigrated to Pennsylvania from
the German Palatinate in 1750, are invited to attend and enjoy food and family
fellowship.



 



From Plainfield or
Joliet, take U.S. Route 30 west to 127th Street (Simons Road). Turn left (west)
and follow it to 1151 Simons Road, which will be on the right side of the road.
From Oswego, take Washington Street-Plainfield Road southeast to Simons Road.
Turn left (east) on Simons and proceed approximately 2.5 miles to 1151 Simons
Road. From Naperville, take U.S. Route 34 to U.S. Route 30, then east on Route
30 to Heggs Road. Turn right (south) onto Heggs and follow it to 127th Street
(Simons Road). Turn right (west) on Simons and follow it to 1151 Simons Road.

help with table set-up on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m.Call Nancy
