On Monday, November 5 Oswego East High School will host a presentation for parents "Start Early-Start Smart: College Major and Career Planning Seminar." The presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Learning Resource Center. A representative from Career Vision will present the program. College is too important and too expensive to simply HOPE a student will find a college major and career direction. Indecision, changing majors and transferring schools are symptoms that indicate a student needs help. When students choose a motivating college major and career goal, they are more successful in college and launching their careers. Learn why early career planning is crucial for students, as well as the five steps for making these decisions - even before looking at colleges. This presentation is suitable for parents and their high school age children.
